Google Lanches Blog Search Beta
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories:
Okay guys, this one is big. Google has (finally) put up a Blog Search tool. Don’t be fooled by the term “Beta”, as Google News is a widely used resource that has been in Beta since its inception. That being said, there are a few things that Google needs to work out in its blog search. One example I found is that when I search for Gear Live, the link at the top looks like it will lead to gearlive.com - however, you end up at playfeed.com when you click it. Huh??? Nonetheless, is it game over for all other blog search services?
I just did a search within Google Blog Search for the term “google blog search” and found over 190,000 results. That means two things - a) Google Blog Search is quickly indexing blog content, and b) many, many people are excited about this. Just take a look:

Why shouldn’t they be? This thing is tons faster than Technorati, and they even allow you to subscribe to queries by way of RSS. Smart, smart move.
